Red Dead Redemption 2's multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, is now available via a free update.
Following Red Dead Redemption 2's critically acclaimed launch in October, the game's multiplayer component is now rolling out worldwide. Red Dead Online brings a new online mode to the hit western, packing cooperative and competitive activities to play with friends. After a surprise unveiling just yesterday, the mode is now available to select existing owners.
On top of Red Dead Redemption 2's existing hefty installation, a new update is rolling out across both systems. Totalling 5.3GB on Xbox One and 5.6GB on PlayStation 4, the update unlocks the mode for Ultimate Edition owners, alongside various tweaks and fixes.
Red Dead Online is set for a staggered release over the coming days, first starting with Ultimate Edition owners for November 27. Access for early adopters will kick off later this week, before a general release to all on November 30.
