There are a lot of crazy gaming rigs at the Computex show in Taipei this year. But perhaps the most impressive machine I've seen so far is one that doesn't look like an alien spaceship covered in Christmas lights.
This is the ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX501. It's a serious gaming laptop that puts top-levvel specs into a mindblowingly thin chassis. And it actually looks really good — but in a way that's different from a lot of high-end gaming notebooks.
NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU and H-series Core i7 processors into a body just 17.9mm thin, weighing a mere 4.93 pounds. It does that thanks to the new Active Aerodynamic System (AAS), which keeps things running nice and cool even in a limited physical space. And that budges the keyboard up to the front of the laptop to free up space for a large cooling apparatus.
