Just announce it already.

Today, Comicbook.com noticed that Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford was discussing how everything in his life revolved around "three" at the moment. Pitchford said, "My To Do list today has just three things on it. But I also have three meetings scheduled before 3 PM. Is the universe telling me something?" He later when on to say, "Yesterday was 333. It's really interesting how human minds take so much meaning in arbitrary numbering systems and coincidence."

The Yi Compact dash cam has 1080p, night vision, and more for just $25

Get everything on tape. Or SD card, I guess.

The Yi Compact 1080p dashboard camera is down to $25 on Amazon once you clip the $15 off on-page coupon. We've seen this dash cam go on sale a couple times but not for a while now, and the last deal only dropped it to $26. It regularly sells for $40.

The Yi Compact came out around the end of last year, but it's right in line with the other Yi dash cameras as great budget alternatives to far-more-expensive options like the Garmin 65W. With this camera, you get 1080p at 30 frames per second, a 130-degree wide angle lens, and night vision. It has a 2.7-inch LCD screen with easy-to-use navigation. The built-in Wi-Fi lets you connect to the smartphone app that lets you download and share videos. Users give it 3.7 stars based on 383 reviews.

You will need an SD card to record your footage onto, so it's a good thing Samsung's Evo Select microSD cards are still down to crazy low prices.

Feel completely secure with the $329 Ring Alarm 14-piece system

A sensor for every egress.

The Ring Alarm 14-piece Home Security System is down to $329 on Amazon. That's almost $100 off what it normally goes for, and this is a full system with all the pieces it comes with. Today's deal is the first time we've seen it go this low.

You can still get the 8-piece system on sale for $188.98 right now. That's been the price since before Black Friday, although it has gone out of stock a couple times.

The 14-piece system comes with the Ring base station, eight contact sensors, two motion detectors, two keypads, and a range extender. You can have the system set up in minutes without the need for professional installation and get 24/7 monitoring of your home. I mean, the 14-piece setup is already a lot to work with, but if you ever need more you'll be able to expand it pretty easily, which is one of the benefits of the Ring system.

Android Central took an in-depth look at the Ring Alarm system and praised its ease of installation, build quality, and value for money.

Netgear's new Arlo Ultra security camera will monitor your home in 4K

4K, HDR, Spotlight, Sirens... talk about home security.

Netgear has announced the Arlo Ultra, a 4K HDR wireless security camera that looks to be a serious upgrade over the Arlo Pro 2. The biggest upgrade is in the resolution. This is Netgear's first Arlo security camera to have 4K resolution and HDR image processing. Netgear believes users will be able to use the resolution to pick up on critical details they may have otherwise missed, like license plate numbers or clothing, when identifying suspicious activity.

The camera will also come with a 180-degree field of view, automatic zoom and tracking, dual microphones, and more. The Ultra finally has a spotlight integrated into it. Previously, you had to buy the Arlo Smart Home Security Light and sync it with your system. Other features include color night vision and custom activity zones you can set yourself. The two-way audio includes advanced noise cancellation to minimize background noise and allow clear, natural conversations from both sides of the camera.

Use the security camera inside or out. The new magnetic mounts allow you to attach the cameras anywhere you want, including walls, ceilings, or gutters. They come with weather-resistant charging cables so you can keep the batteries charged even outdoors.

On November 30, 2018, Marriott announced that a group of hackers obtained "unauthorized access" to the reservation system of its Starwood locations — a collection of hotels that the company purchased in 2016 which includes names like W Hotels, Sheraton, Westin, and St. Regis.

The hackers have had access to the system since 2014, but Marriot didn't find out until September 8, 2018, when it "received an alert from an internal security tool regarding an attempt to access the Starwood guest reservation database in the United States." Despite learning about this in September, an announcement wasn't made until today.

Here's what Marriot said in a press release:

The company has not finished identifying duplicate information in the database, but believes it contains information on up to approximately 500 million guests who made a reservation at a Starwood property.

Of that 500 million, the following information was exposed for 327 million people:

Where's the best place to buy a new HP Spectre x360 15?

Best answer: If you want the best support and easiest shopping experience, head to the HP's own online store.

HP: HP Spectre x360 ($1,170+)

HP has the best availability and support for your device

Since HP is the hardware maker that builds and manufactures the HP Spectre x360 15, it makes the most sense to buy directly as the company can guarantee the best support for your device once you receive it. HP has a 30-day return policy and a 1-year limited hardware warranty. Additionally, you can purchase extras support that'll cover you on repairs and sometimes, even accidental damage.

HP also has a wide variety of different HP Spectre x360 configurations to choose from, ranging from an Intel Core i5 8th Gen with 8GB RAM and Windows 10 Home to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM, a dedicated graphics processor, and Windows 10 Home. Buying direct also means you won't be missing out on the kinds of deals you get from places like Amazon. HP offers free shipping, discounts during all the important holidays, and great deals on accessory bundles.

Amazon's Echo devices will gain support for Apple Music in mid-December

Get ready for it.

Amazon today announced that Apple Music support is coming to its Echo lineup of speakers in the coming weeks, allowing Apple Music subscribers to ask Alexa to stream their favorite songs, artists, albums, and more. Users will also be able to stream Beats 1 live and play any of the curated playlists from Apple Music editors or ask for their preferred algorithmically-generated radio stations.

While you've already been able to stream to your heart's content on your Amazon Echo for some time from services like Spotify, iHeart Radio, Pandora, TuneIn Radio, and more, Apple Music has always been notably absent from the ever-popular Alexa smart speakers.

Dave Limp, senior vice president, Amazon Devices said:

"Music is one of the most popular features on Alexa—since we launched Alexa four years ago, customers are listening to more music in their homes than ever before. We are committed to offering great music providers to our customers and since launching the Music Skill API to developers just last month, we've expanded the music selection on Alexa to include even more top tier services. We're thrilled to bring Apple Music – one of the most popular music services in the US – to Echo customers this holiday."

Sorry internet, Jez likes Fallout 76 (but still doesn't recommend it)

Fallout 76 is a radioactive mess of shallow survival loot addiction. I love it. I hate it.

Bethesda is notorious for its bugs and engine anomalies. Its dynamic, modular Creation Engine used for Skyrim, Fallout 4 and other titles allows the company to fairly rapidly build huge open worlds, full of detail and reasons to explore. The company has repurposed the systems and assets used for Fallout 4 to build Fallout 76, the core team's first attempt at an asynchronous multiplayer game.

Just a few hours is more than enough to confirm that Fallout 76 is a hot mess, a few dozen is enough to confirm that the game has fundamental, systemic flaws that betray the very idea of a multiplayer game. Staggering frame rate issues I haven't seen from a AAA dev for years. Warped models, poor textures, stuck level-of-detail pop-in, stuttering, poorly implemented mechanics, and server problems. Yet, I kind of love it.

Do you need to disable Windows 10 automatic repair? Here's how to do it.

You can prevent Windows 10's self-repair mechanism from running automatically. In this guide, we show you how.

On Windows 10, automatic repair is a handy feature that troubleshoots and fixes common problems that may be preventing your device from loading correctly.

If your computer fails to start two consecutive times, in the third boot the self-repair mechanism will trigger, and during this process, the system will run a number of diagnostic tests to detect and repair common startup problems.

However, if you would rather troubleshoot and fix startup problems manually, or the automatic repair is causing unexpected loops, it's possible to disable the feature on Windows 10.

In this Windows 10 guide, we walk you through the steps to disable automatic diagnose and repair on your device. In addition, if automatic repair was previously disabled, or you want to revert the changes, we also outline the steps to re-enable the feature.

How to disable automatic repair on Windows 10

Anthem Closed Alpha kicks off next week, sign-ups now live

Electronic Arts has provided the first details on Anthem's Closed Alpha test, commencing next week.

With 2018's biggest titles now on shelves, the focus is shifting to what lies ahead. Electronic Arts' upcoming shared-world shooter, Anthem is slated for a February 22, 2018 debut, promising cooperative class-based gameplay in a vast open world. While details on the title are limited, the publisher is already gearing up for the game's first hands-on opportunity.

Anthem's Closed Alpha is set for next week, from December 8 to December 9, spanning Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PCs. Unlike previously-announced "pre-launch" demos, these will be "more limited," focusing on networking and stability. The test will be limited to invited players, with a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) enforced to prevent sharing. Four three-hour sessions are planned for the period, with registration via the EA Community Playtesting sign-up page.

For those unable to participate in Anthem's Closed Alpha, pre-launch demo plans are also outlined. The first demo is scheduled for February 1, 2019, with access via preorders, EA Access, Origin Access, and other sign-up portals.

In the meantime, Anthem is available for preorder starting at $59.99, ahead of its planned February 22, 2019, release.
