Microsoft's new Cloud Clipboard feature will soon be coming to devices that run more than just Windows.
Starting with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, Microsoft is rolling out a new feature on PCs called "Cloud Clipboard," that saves text and images that you copy into a history box that you can refer back to later, and even sync across devices.
While useful, many have been wondering when Microsoft would bring copy and paste syncing to mobile devices, allowing users to sync copied content from a PC, and paste it on their phone, and vice-versa. Now, we know that Microsoft is planning to implement such functionality into SwiftKey on Android, thanks to a new popup that appeared server-side in the Windows 10 October 2018 Update RTM.
When enabling sync in Cloud Clipboards settings, a new link that says "Get an app to sync clipboard items to your phone" appears which when pressed will popup a coming soon page encouraging you to download the SwiftKey Beta for Android. There's no mention of whether the same functionality will be coming to SwiftKey on iOS however, so for now it looks like Android will be the first to get the new Cloud Clipboard capabilities.
