The Surface Pro 6 is available in either traditional platinum or new black colors. The finish covers the entire back of the device, including the kickstand. The black color matches the black bezel, creating a uniform color that's quite appealing.
One perk the Surface Pro 6 comes with is the ability to choose any color Type Cover you want. Type Covers are available in platinum, black, burgundy, and cobalt blue colors. They're sold separately, so if you'd like to mix up the color — I think black and burgundy look particularly nice together — the choice is yours.
