Best answer: The Surface Dock is a suitable docking solution for the Oculus Go, especially if you're all-in on Surface products, but know that the USB-C dock from Plugable offers more ports and better overall functionality.

The Surface Dock's port selection is dated
Though the Surface Dock comes equipped with eight total ports — including four USB-A 3.0, two Mini DisplayPort, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Ethernet — it's missing some that have become normal on modern devices.
There's no HDMI, there's no standard DisplayPort, and there's no USB-C. You can indeed connect a couple of external displays, though plenty of people have issues if not using the right adapters for the Mini DisplayPort connections.
One upside is that the Surface Dock does hook up to the Go using the proprietary Surface Connect port, leaving the built-in USB-C on the Go open.
The Surface Dock will charge your Surface Go while connected
With the Surface Dock hooked up with the Surface Connect port, your Go receives enough power to charge its battery. This means that you don't have to worry about your Go dying when you unplug it from the dock and hit the road, which is a bit of extra peace of mind.
However, alternative docking stations that offer a more modern selection of ports also provide enough power to charge the Surface Go's battery when connected.
