Witcher 2, Crackdown, and more get Xbox One X upgrades

These Xbox 360 games should look crisp on an Xbox One X.

When the Xbox One X launched, Microsoft surprised consumers by announcing that certain Xbox 360 games would be enhanced for the console. Experiences like Fallout 3 and Halo 3 look absolutely stunning on a 4K display due to the increase in resolution. A nine fold increase in pixel count sharpens up the image considerably. However, many thought that the company wouldn't upgrade other Xbox 360 games because it was only used to market the console at launch.

Luckily,Albert Penello, the head of Marketing for Xbox Consoles, confirmed that more Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 games were coming soon. Roughly a week after that announcement, Microsoft revealed that Crackdown, Fable Anniversary, Forza Horizon, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have been upgraded to take advantage of the new machine.

Crackdown

Crackdown is a game all about destruction. Pacific City is overridden and crime controls the streets. Three powerful gangs have taken the once-great metropolis hostage, and the police have proven powerless in their efforts to regain control. Only by deploying genetically-enhanced agents can Pacific City provide citizens with some sense of hope now. Crackdown takes place in an open world environment where players are free to explore the city and decide on the best tactics for each combat scenario.
