Get the entry-level SanDisk SSD Plus for just $73

Our friends at Thrifter are back again, this time with a SSD deal you won't want to miss.

Amazon has the SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB solid state drive for $72.90 if you clip the on-page coupon that subtracts $11.10 from the price. This SSD tends to fluctuate a lot between $84 and about $75, but it hasn't gone as low as $73 since April.

The SSD Plus is SanDisk's entry-level SSD. It's built using SanDisk's MLC NAND, which is unusual for an inexpensive SSD like this. You'd expect it to be built with TLC, which is usually cheaper. MLC is also more reliable than TLC and can withstand more read/write cycles. That's all good stuff for anyone interested in this device.

SanDisk says this drive has read and write speeds of 530 MB/s and 440 MB/s. It is also shock and vibration resistant.

If you want a little more space and don't mind paying more for it, the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD is only $150 on eBay. That's about $30 off the street price, and the 850 EVO is a much-loved SSD.
