Chime in: Is the new Surface Pen worth the extra cash?

When Microsoft released the new Surface Pro earlier this summer, it also made a new and improved Surface Pen available. But should people who use older Surface PCs, or who have last-gen Surface Pens in good working order, buy the new (and more expensive) stylus?

The new Surface Pen (about $100) not only got a visual makeover — it no longer has a pocket clip and it comes in more color options — but it's also more pressure sensitive with lower latency, which means it's more responsive, in theory, than the previous generation Pen (about $50). It also supports "tilting," for shading, though that feature will likely only appeal to very specific kinds of users, such as artists and people who use their Surfaces to draw.
