How to manage Beam email notifications

Getting a lot of emails from Beam? Here's how to make it stop.

By default, at least in my experience, Beam seems to send an email notification every time someone you follow on the service goes live. If you follow a lot of frequent streamers that can get very old, very fast.

Fortunately, it's easy enough to manage which channels send you notifications or just make them go away altogether. It's not the most obvious thing to access, but here's what you need to do.

  1. Log in to Beam.
  2. Click on your avatar in the top right-hand corner to bring out the menu.

  3. Click on account.

  4. Along the top, you'll see four tabs. Click on the one labeled notifications.

  5. To turn off completely, uncheck the email box under all channels.

This will completely disable all email notifications. If there are some channels you want to keep getting them from, this same menu allows you to do this on an individual basis. Simply check the boxes next to the ones you want.
