Vacation Simulator Review: Nearly endless wonder

You, human, are now ready to VACATION.

In the pantheon of VR games, Job Simulator is essentially royalty. It's one of the most popular VR games by a considerable margin, due in no small part to the sheer volume of things you can do in it. Owlchemy Labs worked tirelessly to anticipate every random thing someone might want to do in this game. If you want to make a soup out of apple juice and egg shells, while everyone watching you giggles relentlessly, you can with ease. It's fantastic, and something everyone who has ever played it or the Rick and Morty spinoff universally adore.

But it's time to stop slaving away in a cubicle or toil away repairing an endless line of cars in the shop. It's time to stop serving your robot overlords as they figure out how to keep the last of humanity alive and functional. Now it's time to relax, to soak up some sun by the beach or enjoy a peaceful camping trip in a cabin.

It's time to vacation. And vacation you shall.

A family favorite

Should you buy a Surface Dial for your Surface Pro 6?

Best answer: Honestly, probably not. While the Surface Dial is a nifty accessory for artists, it's best used with devices with more screen real estate like the 15-inch Surface Book or the Surface Studio. The smaller display on the Pro 6 makes it a little tough to use.

• A puck for 100 bucks: Surface Dial ($100 at Amazon)
• Better Dial companion: Surface Book 2 (15-inch) (From $2,400 at Amazon)

The Surface Pro is just a tad too small for the Dial

For those who don't know, the Surface Dial is a hockey puck-like device that is touch sensitive in multiple ways. It can detect when it's resting on a compatible Surface display; developers and artists are able to add on-screen functions to the Dial, allowing you to easily scroll through and fine-tune your brushes and other settings, primarily in art apps. Popular inking apps like Photoshop and Sketchable both make good use of the Surface Dial, to that end.
