Though the Prophet of Regret left Earth, the Covenant forces there continued their brutal conquest of New Mombasa.
In the last article, we covered the beginning of Halo 2, in which the Covenant arrived on Earth and how the Arbiter came to be.
In this one, we're switching gears to Halo 3: ODST and looking at how the UNSC attempted to defend New Mombasa from the invaders, as well as how a daring squad of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) managed to complete a crucial mission within the city...and survive to tell the tale.
