The $20 Acer Nitro gaming mouse has a lot to love ... and a glaring flaw

An otherwise great mouse with a flaw that sets it back significantly.

We've been testing out some of Acer's Nitro gaming PCs and with them come matching accessories. This Nitro NMW810 gaming mouse attempts to create a mix of performance, style, and comfort that remains in the budget realm, costing only about $20. I used the mouse for more than a few long gaming sessions to determine whether or not it's worth the budget price.

Should you buy a PC fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello authentification?

Best answer: If you want to increase security and login speeds without investing in a new computer, then you should get a fingerprint scanner that works with Windows Hello.

Fast and secure

Windows Hello is a Windows 10 feature that allows you to log in to your device with your face or fingerprint. Apps can also work with Windows Hello so you can log in to apps with your biometric data. This is convenient and is becoming more useful as more apps and services support it. For example, there are multiple password managers that support Windows Hello. You not only save time logging into your devices but also jumping in and out of apps.

In addition to being more convenient, Windows Hello helps secure your device. Many people either use the same password across multiple devices or use very simple passwords. With Windows Hello, you can create a complicated password once and then use your fingerprint to sign in in the future. You may still have to occasionally enter your password, but you'll still save time overall and make your tech tougher to access.

Everything you need to know about Command and Conquer: Remastered

Get ready to relive some of the first RTS gold.

EA faced a lot of criticism recently over their latest Command and Conquer game. Despite it being the first title released in the franchise for nearly ten years, many gamers thought the next C&C game should have been for the PC.

Well EA has announced they are fixing this grave oversight with the release of Command & Conquer: Remastered and Red Alert: Remastered. Right now information is sketchy, but we wanted to let you know everything we can all the while updating you on new information as it becomes available.

What is Command & Conquer?

Command and Conquer is probably the most famous Real-time Strategy game ever. Featuring multiple factions you play to control maps by building bases, troops, and vehicles to help you destroy the AI players on the field. It stands out as a classic because of the movie style cutscenes and overacting that accompanied the classic isometric view battle map, as well as the addictive gameplay. Tiberium Sun is the follow up to that original game and was made after, and used a lot of the features of Red Alert.

C&C Red Alert was an offshoot of the original game set in an alternative present where Albert Einstein kills Hitler before World War 2. The Russians then rise to power and invade Europe and China. It's a crazy game full of alternative reality machines like Tesla coils and battle bears, but it improved on the original game and used system likes build queues that are now a staple in modern RTS Games.

Three ways to delete the Windows.old folder on Windows 10

If you recently upgraded to a new version of Windows 10, you can use this guide to flush the Windows.old folder that's just wasting space on your device.

When you upgrade your computer to a new version of Windows 10, or you install a preview build, the installation process saves a copy of the previous version in the "Windows.old" folder.

This is part of the safety mechanism in case the upgrade process goes wrong. If the installation fails for any reason, the system can use the Windows.old folder to undo the changes. Also, if the upgrade completes successfully, the backup copy of the previous version will be kept to provide the option to rollback in the case the new installation is causing issues.

Although this is a handy feature, if your computer is working correctly after the upgrade, you can safely delete the Windows.old folder to reclaim gigabytes of space.

In this Windows 10 guide, we'll walk you through the different ways that you can get rid of the Windows.old folder to free up several gigabytes of space to store more important files.

Update November 29, 2018: We've updated this article with the latest information for the Windows 10 October 2018 Update.
