Microsoft has announced that Xbox Game Pass will be available to the public on June 1, following months of testing through the Xbox Insider Program. However, for those who currently have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, a week's early access to the service is being provided from May 24.

Xbox Game Pass is essentially a Netflix-style subscription for games, offering access to more than 112 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 games at $10 per month. However, unlike streaming services, you'll be downloading games to your hard drive, without the risk of losing visual fidelity along the way.
